Forged Leather Jewelry at Oil and Cotton

Join us this Saturday, January 14 from 3-6pm, for the first of our leather working classes with artist Lyndsey Rieple. With leather lacing, students will learn how to look at the leather as a line for drawing in order to design and create unique earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Wire and found objects from nature will be introduced as design elements and dangling accents. Some objects that could be incorporated are: various seeds and nuts, mini pine cones, antler pieces, wood, bones and shells. Materials will be provided, but if there is a particular item that you would like seen on your piece, feel free to bring it! This workshop is best for adults and teenagers. Please visit our website to preregister for this class.
