Long Stitch Books!
Join us this Friday for the next installment of our bookbinding series. Take one or more of our ongoing bookbinding series and create a model collection of book structures. This is a versatile book structure that lends itself to books designed and printed on standard-sized papers. Writers, artists and book binders can modify this structure to meet their needs. The long stitch book structure dates from the 14th century. These books provide a non-adhesive, mechanical tight back that has a full and easy opening despite a rigid spine. We purchased this beautiful French paper from our favorite local paper merchant, Paper Arts. The paper looks like a 1950's kitchen floor. Sweet! Click here to register.

In French sewing on linen tapes, the sections of the textblock are linked together by passing the the thread under the stitch of the preceding section. Catch stitch on linen tapes starts as an all along stitching. Please register online.
