Calligraphy at Oil and Cotton

The lovely and talented Andrea Estrada taught our first calligraphy class last night. Calligraphy is the art of fine handwriting. Andrea will host Love Letter: Intro to Calligraphy at Oil and Cotton on February 10th from 6:30 to 8:30. Learn to hand letter a love note for your Valentine. Movable Type Truck and Print Happening - Today 6-9pm

Please join us TODAY and give a warm Texas welcome to letterpress printer Kyle Durrie and her Movable Type Truck! Kyle and other local printers will be at Oil and Cotton this evening from 6-9pm demonstrating letterpress, silk screen printing, and potato printing. Try your hand at printing and meet new friends!

Prints, zines, and cards made by local printers will be on view and available for purchase.  This is a FREE event and all ages are welcome.

2nd Annual Holiday Mercantile at Oil and Cotton

Oil and Cotton will host our Second Annual Holiday Mercantile this Saturday, December 10th from noon until 6pm. Shop at Oil and Cotton this weekend for original, handmade, repurposed, unique gifts for all the loved ones on your list. Find toys, art supplies, and creativity kits, as well as art and handcrafted goods made by our talented workshop teachers. Free gift wrap with purchase. Proceeds benefit our scholarship program providing art classes for kids. Local makers and merchants like F. is for Frank, Dowdy Studio, Allison Vieger, Lilco Letterpress, Modest Ambition, and more will be a part of this holiday event.  Next door, the Creative Flea Market will host Dallas graphic artists showcasing and selling their wares.
