Hyperbolic Crochet - AMAZING!
We just finished our first hyperbolic crochet class. Students formed a movable sculpture and explored the endless possibilities of hyperbolic crochet.
Oak Cliff Visual Speedbump Art Tour and Student Exhibit
This weekend we participated in the annual Oak Cliff Art Tour. Artists, galleries and art spaces opened up their doors to the community. Oil and Cotton took the opportunity to exhibit student work. Guest were invited to take part in a community collage project, resulting in an explosion of color and paper scraps. The evening was capped off with a performance by David Daniels. Thanks to all of the friends, family, and neighbors that visited.

Mother's Day!
We had a group of six sweet little boys join us for our Mother's Day craft this Friday. Each created a rainbow bouquet of paper flowers for their moms and grandmothers. Beer Brewing Class and Oak Cliff Brew Riot
This weekend we finished our 2-day home-brewed beer workshop. Students bottled two types of beer and left with two six packs of the final results! Don't miss the BrewRiot Homebrew Beer Festival May 22, 4-8pm in Bishop Arts.

Happy Mother's Day!

Friday from 3:30-4:30 ($10) learn to make a paper flower bouquet from tissue paper and vintage book pages. This class is open to all ages. Preregistration is recommended.

Texture, Repetition, Overlay and Feathers...
Last Friday our young artists studied Greek art, mythology and TEXTURE. Students learned about the winged goddess Nike and looked at examples of repeated pattern found in nature. Students cut various sizes of paper feathers and overlapped them to form colorful wing collages.
